I imagine it might be even tougher having your dh in a program. Some days I wish I had chosen theology myself. I hope to finish this year as well, but I have been saying that for awhile now. Seriously, I have been in the program since 2003, but then in the middle I got my dx, engaged, married, ttc, baby #1, #2, #3...lol. Wow, when I say it like that I actually can see what I have been doing with my time! Most days I just feel like where did the time go?!
I am sorry about your 2 losses! I am curious to know more about how you came up with the names, etc. And perhaps your Raphael "God has Healed" is around the corner as well then?
Thank you for checking out my blog!WheelbarrowRiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09786312554610653043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-504195045693659634.post-39059973733211842702010-01-13T21:04:58.391-06:002010-01-13T21:04:58.391-06:00Thanks for checking out my blog and commenting. I...Thanks for checking out my blog and commenting. I have noticed you popping up on lots of blogs recently too. My husband is working on his dissertation (in theology), so we feel your pain. We hope he will finish this year. We also have an angel baby named Michael and one name Gabriel - good name choices! Good luck with your new TTC efforts!Joy Completehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12144963935332670459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-504195045693659634.post-89513960501933848992010-01-11T19:56:01.279-06:002010-01-11T19:56:01.279-06:00Thank you all for your continued support, prayers ...Thank you all for your continued support, prayers and comments-I don't say that enough! Jeremiah, my dissertation is nothing to be impressed by, I promise you that. The reality is...embarrassing and sounds so much better in theory than real life! But I do love being a forever student, the conversations and the brilliance I am surrounded by and feeling like, on a good day, that I can impact education for the better. My dissertation topic is evolving, but my educational background is speech pathology and autism and my PhD advisor is a psychologist that works in education. My program is special education-but I don't work with any kids with disabilities. It is confusing, I know! It is all about systems change in education, supporting schools and districts to implement more effective proactive discipline systems for kids with challenging behavior (not specific to those with a label), so my dissertation is roughly about that. In IL, you have statewide PBI.S (positive be.havior supp.ort). That is what I do. Congrats on getting your master's. I have taken several early childhood classes and enjoyed them.WheelbarrowRiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09786312554610653043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-504195045693659634.post-63187845288295269972010-01-11T18:39:06.935-06:002010-01-11T18:39:06.935-06:00I'm glad to hear that you are making progress ...I'm glad to hear that you are making progress on your dissertation. Lear.ning St.andards (teaching) and they call this a portfolio that I can take on my interviews. What is your dissertation on? If you don't mind me asking. Sounds like school, baby and just keeping the house together keep you busy...and taking "the" meds. Praying for you!!!prayerfuljourneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15549430693172260600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-504195045693659634.post-53400055395443411632010-01-11T11:59:32.802-06:002010-01-11T11:59:32.802-06:00Glad to hear that little Charlie is doing well! Great job! My kids have different genes but I had to learn not to put too much stock in growth charts. There are kids who are well above and below the charts who are still considered healthy. The important point is that he is gaining weight and growing--the rate at which he does this will vary somewhat. I bet Charlie is right on the cusp of a growth spurt.Mrs. Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15856888399114383576noreply@blogger.com
