Just a quick update...

Been crazy busy since dh has his busy time at work this month and I am doing lots with dissertation deadlines and doing more on my own with Charlie and around the house...(I can feel the dissertation prayers, really, I am getting more excited and passionate so thank you!!!!)
Today I was so happy to see peak type CM that was really peak type and not just some of that false alarm stuff leading up to the real deal.  It makes me more confident that I am picking the days right (I need to meet with my practitioner since I am rusty, but she is booked out and just had surgery so soon, but not in time for identifying peak day-good thing we are good friends and I can text her with questions!
I actually had to refill my amox a 2nd time this month!  It says CD 11-15 so they only gave me 15 pills worth, but they told me to take it through peak day and...I am still taking it.  Lol. Oh well!  I am just glad that things are making sense, I have my meds, and I won't be totally unorganized for my meetings tomorrow.  Btw, so far dh has had no side effects except for the stomach ache with the first pill.  It may have just been coincidence.  And I just had the taste in my mouth-I found from last time that water and gum help, esp my favorite (orange trident-so yummy!).  We are trying to be diligent about probiotics, so we will see.
I am feeling good, busy but good.  :)  Dh and I got a date night this weekend that actually involved leaving the house.  My niece gave us free babysitting for Christmas, dh's birthday was friday.  We went to a Japanese Steak House and then played trivia, pop a shot, and driving games at a video game place.  Fun!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
P.S. Charlie had his 15 month appt and it was so fun to get him weighed, etc.  He is 20th and 25th percentile on weight and height, hard to believe b/c he is so solid and eats and ton; also dh and I are not short at all.  Oh well, he is healthy and I find the info interesting, but don't put too much stock in it.  He is doing great, just a little cranky from teeth and shots so we have had to do a lot of motrin.  He is such a happy go lucky, playful guy.  He is so fun to watch explore and learn new things.  His latest is eating with utensils!

So glad to hear that you are making some good headway with the dissertation! Great job! My kids have different genes but I had to learn not to put too much stock in growth charts. There are kids who are well above and below the charts who are still considered healthy. The important point is that he is gaining weight and growing--the rate at which he does this will vary somewhat. I bet Charlie is right on the cusp of a growth spurt.

Glad to hear that little Charlie is doing well! Good luck with your dissertation... wow, I'm impressed. I pray that you are given the inspiration you need.

For my master's I am doing a "project"...I have to compile all of my papers on a computer program...relate them to their IL state E.C. Lear.ning St.andards (teaching) and they call this a portfolio that I can take on my interviews. What is your dissertation on? If you don't mind me asking. Sounds like school, baby and just keeping the house together keep you busy...and taking "the" meds. Praying for you!!!

Thank you all for your continued support, prayers and comments-I don't say that enough! Jeremiah, my dissertation is nothing to be impressed by, I promise you that. The reality is...embarrassing and sounds so much better in theory than real life! But I do love being a forever student, the conversations and the brilliance I am surrounded by and feeling like, on a good day, that I can impact education for the better. My dissertation topic is evolving, but my educational background is speech pathology and autism and my PhD advisor is a psychologist that works in education. My program is special education-but I don't work with any kids with disabilities. It is confusing, I know! It is all about systems change in education, supporting schools and districts to implement more effective proactive discipline systems for kids with challenging behavior (not specific to those with a label), so my dissertation is roughly about that. In IL, you have statewide PBI.S (positive be.havior supp.ort). That is what I do. Congrats on getting your master's. I have taken several early childhood classes and enjoyed them.

Thanks for checking out my blog and commenting. I have noticed you popping up on lots of blogs recently too. My husband is working on his dissertation (in theology), so we feel your pain. We hope he will finish this year. We also have an angel baby named Michael and one name Gabriel - good name choices! Good luck with your new TTC efforts!

Yes, I feel bad for you all b/c I am popping up...everywhere!
And you really do know my pain firsthand re the dissertation! I imagine it might be even tougher having your dh in a program. Some days I wish I had chosen theology myself. I hope to finish this year as well, but I have been saying that for awhile now. Seriously, I have been in the program since 2003, but then in the middle I got my dx, engaged, married, ttc, baby #1, #2, #3...lol. Wow, when I say it like that I actually can see what I have been doing with my time! Most days I just feel like where did the time go?!
I am sorry about your 2 losses! I am curious to know more about how you came up with the names, etc. And perhaps your Raphael "God has Healed" is around the corner as well then?
Thank you for checking out my blog!
